Sara Assaad, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Additionally, Dr. Assaad teaches graduate level statistics and research methods at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. She also has experience working in a university/college counseling setting with transitional-age youth (TAY), as well as helping clients with issues related to relationships, substance use, and intergenerational trauma.
Dr. Assaad received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego, CA. She completed an APA-accredited internship at the Personal Growth and Counseling Center (PGCC) at California State University Monterey Bay in Monterey Bay, CA, followed by postdoctoral training at Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at UC Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, CA.
Outside of work, Dr. Assaad enjoys being active, spending time with friends and family, exploring new coffee shops in every city she visits, and spending time at the beach year-round.
