Melissa Barker, Ph.D., BCBA, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder, behavioral challenges, and social delays in young children under five years of age. She has expertise in evaluation and behavioral intervention with very young children, and has more than 24 years of experience conducting assessments for developmental disabilities. Additionally, Dr. Barker is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Dr. Barker received her doctoral degree in educational/school psychology from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ, and completed an internship at Tucson Unified School District, followed by postdoctoral training at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, CA.
Outside of work, Dr. Barker enjoys her rescue dogs, reading, ballet classes, hiking, and science fiction/fantasy fandoms.
