Juana Vaquero, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist specializing in the bilingual assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders in young children and adolescents. She has extensive experience providing treatment for various mental health disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. Additionally, she provides supervision to non-licensed clinicians using reflective consultation practice.
Dr. Vaquero earned her doctoral degree in School Psychology from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, with an emphasis in bilingual assessments and reading disorders. She completed her pre- and post-doctoral training at the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), where she specialized in early childhood mental health, interdisciplinary evaluations, neurodevelopmental disorders, and trauma-informed practices. Dr. Vaquero approaches her work with compassion and professionalism, and strives to build authentic therapeutic relationships with her clients.
In her free time, Dr. Vaquero enjoys spending time with her children and husband, traveling, and playing soccer.
