Biography

Jamie Young, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in children and adolescents. She has more than six years of experience conducting assessments for developmental disabilities.

Dr. Young began working with children with ASD as an undergraduate student at the University of California, Davis. After graduating, she completed training to become a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) and worked for several years with children with ASD before deciding to return to school to complete her doctoral training and education. Dr. Young trained in several diverse settings, including a crisis house, a private school for children with learning and/or behavioral difficulties, and a non-profit company where she worked primarily with children who had experienced trauma.

After her training, Dr. Young’s passion led her back to working with children with ASD. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego, CA, and completed internships at Catholic Charities and Family Recovery Center, followed by postdoctoral training at ABA Behavior Therapies and Testing, both in San Diego, CA.

In her spare time, Dr. Young enjoys riding bicycles with her sons, reading and spending time with her family.
