Biography

Deborah Zambianco, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist currently specializing in the assessment of developmental disabilities in children. She has expertise in child assessments, although she has evaluated individuals of all ages, and she has more than 35 years of experience conducting assessments for developmental disabilities in both English and Spanish. She has also provided therapy to individuals in both English and Spanish. Dr. Zambianco has served as an expert witness in child abuse cases in court proceedings, and has been appointed by the court as a therapist in custody cases.

Dr. Zambianco received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS, and completed a predoctoral internship at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Unit in Los Angeles, CA. She has been an active member of the San Diego Psychological Association, serving as both a Board Member and Committee Chair. She has also supervised predoctoral students, UCSD medical students, and trainees from other disciplines.

Outside of work, Dr. Zambianco’s interests include scuba diving, swimming, yoga, movies, exploring new restaurants and entertainment venues, and spending time with family and friends.
