Biography

Jessica Gaines, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Developmental Disorder in young children. She is known for her work with young adults and adults coping with mood disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, stress management, emotional eating, and health and nutrition. She also has experience with developmental psychodiagnostic assessments, as well as behavior modification and socialization groups for preschool aged children. Psychological assessment has always been a passion of hers, and since deciding to pursue this work further, she has gained more than 4 years of experience conducting assessments for developmental disabilities.

Dr. Gaines received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles, CA, and completed an internship at Mount St. Mary’s College Counseling and Psychological Services in Los Angeles, CA, followed by postdoctoral training at the Counseling and Psychological Services Center at Alliant International University in San Diego, CA.

When she is not working, Dr. Gaines enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cycling or playing tennis, and spending time at the beach.
