Biography

Cindy Barreda Schurr, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment of children over the age of 4 and adults. She is known for her work with individuals with developmental disorders and with youth with complex mental health presentations. She has more than 15 years of experience conducting assessments for developmental disabilities in both English and Spanish. Additionally, Dr. Barreda Schurr has worked in residential treatment facilities with individuals who have experienced complex trauma or have comorbid mental health presentations, as well as with families with child welfare encounters. She has over 12 years of experience providing supervision of other psychologists.

Dr. Barreda Schurr received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in multicultural and community psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego, CA, and completed two internships at Children’s Institute, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA and Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, CA. Her postdoctoral training was conducted at Youth Opportunities Upheld (YOU), Inc. in Worcester, MA.

Outside of work, Dr. Barreda Schurr enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband, traveling, experiencing new cultures, gardening, and taking care of her chickens, rooster and rabbit.
