Chantal Meloscia, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist licensed by the California Board of Psychology. She has more than 10 years of experience working with neurodiverse children and adolescents, including evaluating, diagnosing, and treating autism, ADHD, as well as other developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Dr. Meloscia began her studies in psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) where she was also a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy. She became interested in working with children as she explored externships during graduate school. She was then selected by the Navy to attend a post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). At CHOP, she focused on experiences in a multi-disciplinary autism diagnostic clinic as well as developmental follow up clinics for children with high-risk births. After her fellowship, Dr. Meloscia spent four years in Yokosuka, Japan assessing, diagnosing, and providing recommendations for children from 18 months to 18 years old of military and government employee families stationed in the country. She collaborated with school teams frequently to ensure children were receiving needed supports for challenges associated with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. She also was the lead for autism assessment in the area.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Dr. Meloscia most recently served as Department Head of Mental Health at Naval Medical Center San Diego. She previously served as the Department Head and Program Manager for Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) at U.S. Naval Hospital Yokosuka, Japan. She has also been the Division Chief for Child Behavioral Health at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
In her free time, Dr. Meloscia enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and daughter as well as planning trips to Japan.
